  • What is included in a 2life Lease contract?

    A 2life Lease contract is a rental formula for used vehicles for professionals.
    Subject to payment of a fixed rental cost per month, you as a customer will receive a pre-selected second-hand vehicle with a service package.
    In addition to the depreciation costs, the rental cost includes:
    • maintenance and repair costs with normal use (with due diligence)
    • summer tires (normal use)
    • breakdown assistance: 24 hours a day and 7 days a week
    • civil liability insurance, driver insurance and legal assistance
    • cover for material damage (there is a predetermined deductible to pay in case of accident in error)
    • all legal taxes
    Only fuel and any fines have to be paid yourself.
    The contract automatically ends when the agreed number of months or the total mileage is reached.
    At that time, you must return the vehicle. You don't have to worry about selling your car, we will. If desired, you can request a quote to buy the car from us afterwards.
  • Term of the agreement

    You enter into an agreement for at least twelve months. The agreed term is always stated on the quotation.
  • Total mileage of the agreement

    The agreed number of kilometers is always stated on the quotation.You may never exceed the total agreed number of kilometers (start kilometers + 2life kilometers). The maximum mileage for diesel is 180,000 km and for petrol this is 160,000 km.
  • Rental cost

    We calculate your monthly rental cost based on:
    • the chosen second-hand vehicle
    • the term of your agreement
    • the number of kilometers you want to drive
    • the age of the main driver  

    Your contact person will guide you in the correct choice of the duration and the number of kilometers.  

    What if you exceed the foreseen mileage? This is not allowed.
    The contract ends when the agreed mileage is reached.  

    What if you exceed the foreseen number of months? This is not allowed.
    The car must be returned when the contract term is reached.
  • Who can conclude a 2life Lease contract?

    A 2life Lease contract can only be concluded by self-employed persons and companies with a registered office in Belgium. A valid driver's license must also be presented. A provisional driving license is not accepted.
  • Who can / may drive the car?

    The main driver is the one who will drive the vehicle the most. As the main driver, you may lend the vehicle to a family member, friend or any other person with a valid driver's license. Please note: lending the vehicle to someone with a provisional driving license is not allowed!
  • How are my monthly payments organised?

    You pay in advance, so always at the beginning of the month. Because the first rental month is probably not a full month, only the days driven will be charged. Will your car be delivered on January 10? Then you pay from 10 to 31 January. To calculate your rental amount for that first month, we use the following line. We divide the agreed monthly rent by 31 calendar days and multiply this by the number of days that you actually used the vehicle (here 22 days). A pro rata calculation is also applied at the end of the contract. With the last monthly billing, only the days that you will still drive the vehicle according to the end date of the agreement are charged. If you return your vehicle a few days earlier, we will refund you these days in the final invoice. We only charge you for the days driven. You pay your monthly rent by direct debit on the first working day of the month.
  • What if I cannot pay my monthly rent?

    If no payment is made for two consecutive months, the contract will end. The file is then sent to the credit insurer and you must return the vehicle. It is best to avoid this. A better option is to terminate the agreement prematurely. You must take into account that the minimum term of a contract is twelve months. Even if you stop prematurely, you still have to pay twelve months' rent. A termination fee of three months' rent is also charged and the additional kilometers are settled on a pro rata basis.
  • Am I the owner of the car?

    You do not own the vehicle. As you rent it, you only receive the right to use it. The car remains the property of Axus SA.
  • Is fuel included?

    No, the fuel costs are your responsibility.
  • Can I use my car abroad?

    Yes, but no more than three consecutive months. Always consult your insurance certificate (green card) before your departure. You are insured in the countries mentioned above. There is a special procedure for Morocco and Tunisia. Allow two weeks to finalize it.
  • Do I have to pay the fines and traffic violations myself?

    Unfortunately yes. If we receive a payment reminder for an unpaid fine, we settle it, but charge you an additional administrative fee in addition to the amount of the fine.
  • Can I smoke in the car?

    Smoking is bad for your health, but we don't ban it.
  • Can I receive a “resident” card?

    Yes, but only the main driver can receive a certificate to request a “resident” card from his municipality.
  • Am I well protected in the event of damage?

    Yes, because your 2life - Private Lease contract provides for several covers. • Liability insurance It covers damage you cause to others. • Driver insurance It covers your bodily injury on the basis of a fixed and limited compensation (deductible). • Coverage in the event of material damage It covers material damage with a maximum fixed compensation (excess). The exact amount is indicated on your rental offer. In the event of an accident at fault, you pay the maximum amount. • Legal protection insurance It covers your costs in the event of a dispute concerning the car. The insurer does not intervene if the accident was due to a serious fault, such as a deliberate act, drunkenness or speeding. If so, you must pay the book value of the vehicle yourself.
  • Am I covered for all risks?

    You only pay the lump sum compensation (deductible) in the following cases: • accident at fault; • fire; • attempted theft ; • vandalism; • broken glass; • damage caused by a collision with an animal or a natural disaster. You do not pay the lump sum compensation (deductible) in the following cases: • theft (even if the vehicle is found); • glass breakage caused by the projection of a pebble.
  • How to declare damage?

    Report any damage to ALD Automotive as soon as possible. To proceed quickly, submit your declaration via http://damage.axus.be. After approval, you can have your vehicle repaired by a repairer appointed by us in Belgium.
  • What happens in the event of a total loss?

    If the vehicle is declared a total loss, we will cancel your contract from the date of the accident. No termination fees will be charged and billing will be discontinued. Any additional kilometer on this date will be prorated at 0.08 € / km, VAT included. What if my car has been vandalized or stolen? Within 48 hours of the incident, you must: • file a complaint with the police; • send a copy of the minutes, accompanied by a description of the circumstances, to damage@axus.be; • send the original report by post to ALD Automotive, avenue du Bourget 42, 1130 Brussels.
  • Is breakdown assistance included in the 2life - Private Lease package?

    Yes, you get 24/7 support in the countries that are on the green card.
  • Vehicle maintenance

    You can have the vehicle serviced in all official garages of the brand (brand of the chosen vehicle) in Belgium. Are the costs of changing the oil chargeable to me? If the oil is changed during scheduled maintenance, charges are included. Is the indicator light on your dashboard coming on? Make an appointment with your dealer and have the oil or AdBlue tank refilled free of charge. Do not take care of it yourself, otherwise we will not refund the price of the products to you. What if my car's tires are worn out? Under normal use, you can have your summer tires replaced free of charge at a tire center approved by ALD Automotive in Belgium.   • Can I put on winter tires?

    Yes, if you pay for them yourself. Please note: in accordance with your contract, you must always return your car with summer tires. Can I have accessories installed? Yes, if they don't damage the vehicle. It must be possible to remove them without damaging the vehicle.
